Evergreen is a key supporter of the Heretaunga Women’s Centre through the Anne Marie O’Sullivan Trust which has been a supporter of  the centre since 2011.

On Thursday 6th March we hosted 50 guests from Evergreen’s networks at the HWC for a drink, to meet the wonderful team there and to learn about the services and opportunities that the Centre offers such as free legal advice and counselling sessions, wellness programmes, community connection and art groups.

Special thanks to our guest speakers including Kay Morris Mathews for her fascinating talk about local historical women, some of whom are represented in upcoming MTG Hawke’s Bay exhibition, curated by Kay.

Also to Brendan & Barry O’Sullivan for sharing with us the story of their sister Anne Marie’s legacy through her generous support of the HWC and their family’s ongoing connection to the centre.

With the support of local businesses over $1500 was raised for the Centre through a fundraising raffle.  Thank you to every single person who bought a ticket! Shout out to Real World NZ, TUMU Timbers, Italian Film Festival, and The Little House at The Horseshoe for their generous raffle contributions.
